“He who destroys his own house will inherit wind.” (Bible, proverbs) This video shows the destruction of a historical building in the Italian medieval town Bologna. There was no reason and at the beginning no permission for pulling down this historical testimony. However, more and more changes during the construction, more than 20, were added and legally allowed by the Commune of Bologna. I lived in front of this house and when I woke up one morning I noticed a strange shadow. I looked out of the window, went downstairs because I wanted to see better and then I saw these wonderful balconies with their flower decorations “crying”. The demolition had already started and 5 min later the roof collapsed. Just one day, one beautiful sunny day, was needed for destroying this building with all these memories. They wanted to re-build it in the same way, just with a garage below, but the new building is not the same. All these sculptures, columns and decorations are not there anymore. It is just a stylized copy and nothing remembers the past. For long time I observed the construction, but what could I do. So, I took my “alchemic medicines” for creating a magic video spell. I mixed the spell with acupuncture, a white animal, lightnings, a Korean medicine wardrobe with prescriptions, energy stones and the famous Merseburg Incantations (Germany), because I come from Halle, a town close by, and I identify somehow with this place. My brother speaks this charm in Old High German by considering its right pronunciation.
