A meta-vision, manipulating the digital, with feedbacks and analog effects rendered with lenses and hand-made instruments. No narrative purpose, but its embryonic form: a metaphor, whose etymology conveys a sense of transport (here a transfer between symbols: square circle triangle – hand eye mouth). A journey through a bizarre pupil at the limit between the natural and the synthetic. A pupil is a hole that allows us a complementary vision, holding together what is and what is not, light and darkness. I wanted to induce this synthesis to explode or implode (the synthesis was suggested by the chromatic one of the title) in such a way that the only remaining structure was the rhythmic one of the music. Touching an always fleeting image, brushing the great myth of the myth-absence (ie Athens and its Acropolis today).

This video is a an excerpt of the current live-set of Von Tesla (see: http://www.vontesla.com/) next to be seen during the upcoming italian NODE festival (http://node-live.zymogen.net/). The track is from a digital album, Providing Needles (label: http://www.enklav.it/). Used by permission. It was also embed in the digital issue of Vice Magazine-Italy as soon as released in February 2013. Thx
