Andrea Lira

Andrea Lira is an animator, director and illustrator from Chile, who creates visual narratives using a wide range of media including drawing, cut paper, stop motion and digital animation. "My stories draw from real life and imagination. I am inspired by the patterns in nature, dance, the body and the subconscious. With my work I try to give life objects and emphasize the simple things in life, discovering their essence."

Andrea holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School For Design and a BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Andrea's work has been shown at the International Museum of Women, New York's Hungarian Center and broadcasted on Nicktoons Network, Plum TV, Current TV, Via-X TV and Chinese TV. Her short films have been featured in Nicktoons Network Animation Festival in New York and film festivals in London, Vienna, Savannah, Istanbul and Beijing.
