-- I’ve shot the images used in This is not pornography with my CANON MV70, a non professional handycam. Extremely opening the shutter in a room full of light , the camera records, approximately, the same image for two, three photograms. These photograms differ only for few, almost invisible elements from each other. Differences are based on moving elements. Repeating the same photogram for two times, the result is a sort of vibration only on the moving element, a durative flickering frozen into the support. I thought it was the right way to reveal the inner violence of the real scene I shot: my cousins go on playing before, during and after the lunch, shifting the joke into a kind of irrepressible violence at first disregarded by adult people in the room ( the mother and the grandmother) who, after few moments, seem to be overwhelmed, becoming impotent objects of the game.
